About Us

Swindon Dolphin is one of Wiltshire’s most acclaimed sports clubs. Seeking to enable its members to achieve success at county, regional, national levels of competitive swimming and water polo, the club provides the highest standard of teaching and coaching.

We are committed to helping every member reach their maximum potential across a wide range of ages and abilities, in addition to promoting positive lifelong, physical and social values, skills and qualities, within a safe and healthy environment. Due to our high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness, we have been awarded SwimMark accreditation by Swim England.

The club’s structure supports swimming sessions spread over 40 pool hours per week as well as a land based programme catering for developing swimmers at all levels of competition.

Formed in 1952, the Club’s membership is made up of approximately 300 swimmers and over 50 non-swimming volunteers and officials. In 2022, Swindon Dolphin became a charitable organisation.

To provide the best possible calibre of coaching, the Club has a team of qualified Swim England Teachers and Coaches. Every year Dolphin competes at the Wiltshire County Championships, the South West Regional Championships and the National Championships, while the Water Polo squad takes part in the Bristol & West and National Leagues.
