Dolphin reach Southern Junior League Final

Swindon Dolphin youngsters booked their place in the grand final of the Southern Junior League in June after an impressive performance in round 2 of the competition at Horfield Leisure Centre last Saturday night. Without 2 key swimmers and a few competing somewhat under the weather, Dolphin finished second behind favourites Ferndown and were only outside the top 3 in 4 of the 49 events in a very exciting gala.
Noah Kirby, Liam Jefferies, Alex Chantler-Mayne & Adam Coleman were unbeatable in the boys’ 9 yrs 4 X 25m frs & IM relays as were Sam Lofts, James Clark, Mat Sambrook & Liam Tubb in the boys’ 12 yrs 4 X 25m IM relay. Dolphins had to settle for second in 12 other relays.
Samantha Berry won the girls’ 11 yrs 50m Fly & frs and James Clark was victorious in the boys’ 12 yrs 50m brs & fly. Alex Chantler-Mayne (9 yr, 25m frs), Noah Kirby (9 yr, 25m brs), Maddie Easter (9 yr, 25m fly), Sam Lofts (12 yr, 50m bk) & Liam Tubbs (12 yr, 50m frs) were also individual winners.
Craig Lofts (10 yr, 50m fly & frs), Niall Westman (10 yr, 50m brs & bk) and Mat Sambrook (11 yr, 50m frs & bk) had two individual second places each while Georgina Pitts (9 yr, 25m bk), Charlotte Pitts (10 yr, 50m brs), Liam Jefferies (9 yr, 25m bk), Megan Jones (12 yr, 50m bk) and Katie Carter (12, yr 50m brs) also touched second.
