Dolphins at the British Championships

Chris Jones: British 100m breaststroke Champion 2007

Chris Jones became the first Swindon Dolphin swimmer in the history of the club to be crowned British Champion as he claimed the 100m Breaststroke title, his first ever national medal. He followed this up with Silver in the 50m Breaststroke and a 6th place finish in the 200m Breaststroke.


Rosie Wells was outstanding in the 100m (1.10.42) and 200m (2.33.78) backstrokes achieving long course personal bests in both and a BagCat National Qualifying time in the 100m. She also recorded a club Age Group Best Time in her 200m heat.


Swindon Dolphin quartet Rosie Wells (Bk), Kath Baker (Brs), Tilly Gray (Fly) and Andrea Alleyne (Fr) were in magnificent form reaching the final of the womans 4 x 100m Individual Medley relay. Competing against top opposition from around the country they finished fifth behind teams from Ealing, University of Bath, Warrender Baths and Plymouth Leander. Rosie Wells improved her 100m time further in the backstroke leg to 1.10.36, recording another club Age Group Best Time.


Tilly Gray swam excellent times in the heats of the 100m (1.07.41) and 200m (2.25.42) butterfly gaining valuable experience for the future according to Chief Coach Andi Manley.
