Sx3 Well Represented at ASA Champs
The 2008 ASA Championships came to a conclusion last Sunday at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre, and for many of the Sx3 senior swimmers, it brought an end to a good season, while for the younger swimmers heading to Sheffield this week, it was their last long course racing opportunity prior to the National Youth Championships.
Most successful for Sx3 was Chris Jones who reached finals in 50m, 100m and 200m breaststrokes but opted to withdraw from the latter event and went on to finish fifth in the 100m final. He was the second fastest qualifier behind Beijing bound, Chris Cook, in the 50m heat and finished a creditable fourth in the final with Loughborough’s James Gibson snatching the gold.
