Water Polo Success Continues

Swindon Dolphin’s fine run of form continued with a solid home performance and a two goal victory against Newton Abbot’s first team at Milton Road on Sunday. The home side started stronger nd were in control throughout, hitting the visitors with five goals in the first period and by the half way stage were seven ahead. This allowed Dolphin to make a number of substitutions which ensured that the whole squad had good quality water time.

Goals were spread across the team – captain Andy Hicks scored 3, Chris Selby, Michal Trzeciak and Diogo Monteiro secured a brace each with Mark Lawlor and Matt James recording single strikes.

Selby commented after the fixture: “the performance was encouraging and we played some excellent Polo early on. If we continue to play like we did in the first two quarters today then we can look forward to a successful season.”

Dolphin’s next match is on Sunday 27th of April at home to a very strong Cardiff University team.
